Saturday March 7th- West Gate/Ram Pasture Winter Botany with Kelly Omand

Accompany NCF Plant Ecologist & Botanist Kelly Omand on a loop walk to learn about winter plant identification, from seed pods to twigs and buds. We will discuss the ecology of our winter landscape, and strategies plants and woody species use to survive winter and wake up in the spring. We will follow the trail through shrublands and open fields, past areas of shrub swamp and wet meadows and sandplain grassland.
