Shorebird Walk with Libby Buck 8/24/2020
Eel Point

Love birds? This walk is for you! Led by the Foundation’s Ecological Stewardship & Research Technician, Libby Buck, and Director of Science & Stewardship, Karen Beattie, you will be guided around one of NCF’s birding hotspots, Eel Point. Eel Point is one of the busiest stopover areas for a large variety of migrating bird species especially shorebirds & water birds. You will learn how to identify each bird species, the current shorebird research projects, and how we can protect and maintain this crucial habitat. *Note – this walk will go through soft sand throughout the tour and can be strenuous at times. Please bring sunscreen, water, binoculars, and walking shoes that could get wet.
